Name All the Countries
No options, no hints. Type every country you can remember before the clock runs out, and watch the globe fill in.
How it works
Choose the whole world (195 countries, 15 minutes) or a single continent, with a shorter timer. Then type country names into the box. You don't need to press Enter: a correct name is accepted as soon as you finish typing it, the box clears, and the country lights up on the globe. Tiny countries such as Malta and Nauru show up as dots.
Capital letters, accents and hyphens don't matter. Common short and old names also count: USA, UK, Czech Republic, Ivory Coast, Burma, Swaziland, DRC and more. When time runs out, or you give up, the globe shows the countries you missed in red, and the list shows their names.
Tips for naming more countries
Go continent by continent, and inside each continent work your way along the coast, then fill in the middle. Don't jump around. Neighbours help: once you have France, you are one step from Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Monaco and Andorra. Most people run out of names in Africa, Oceania and the Caribbean, so practise those with the Africa and Oceania quizzes first.
Naming countries without options, as you do here, is the hardest way to test yourself, and the most effective. It is the best check of whether you really know the map.

How long do I get?
15 minutes for all 195 countries, or roughly 4½ seconds per country for a single continent (at least 2 minutes).
Do I need to spell names exactly?
The spelling must be right, but capitals, accents, spaces and punctuation are ignored, and common alternative names are accepted.
What is a good score?
There is no official benchmark, but naming 100 countries from memory is a strong first result, and 150 or more is excellent.
