North America Countries Quiz
Canada, the United States, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean: 23 countries. Name each one, then its capital.
How the North America quiz works
North America in GuessGlobe means 23 countries: Canada, the United States and Mexico, the seven countries of Central America, and thirteen Caribbean island nations. Each round the globe highlights ten of them, one at a time. Name the country from four options, then its capital.
Seven small Caribbean nations are too small to see at globe scale: Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The globe rounds use the other 16. All 23 are in Name the Countries and the Flag Quiz.
Tips for learning North America
Central America goes north to south: Belize and Guatemala, then Honduras and El Salvador, then Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama. El Salvador is the only one without a Caribbean coast, and Belize the only one without a Pacific coast.
The Caribbean has two groups. The large islands of the Greater Antilles hold Cuba, Jamaica, and Haiti and the Dominican Republic, which share the island of Hispaniola. The small islands curving down to Trinidad and Tobago are the Lesser Antilles.
Capital traps: Canada's capital is Ottawa, not Toronto. Belize's is Belmopan, not Belize City. Dominica (capital Roseau) and the Dominican Republic (Santo Domingo) are different countries. Greenland and Puerto Rico are territories, not countries.
